Poland has become one of Europe’s fastest-growing aviation markets, creating thousands of employment opportunities across airports, airlines, cargo terminals, and ground handling companies. As passenger traffic continues to increase and international airlines expand their services, airports require a larger workforce to support daily operations. This demand has opened doors for both experienced professionals and newcomers looking to build a career in aviation.
Among all airports in the country, Warsaw Chopin Airport remains the largest and busiest, handling millions of domestic and international passengers every year. It serves as a major gateway connecting Poland with Europe, Asia, North America, and the Middle East. The airport depends on thousands of employees working across passenger services, cargo logistics, aircraft support, airport transportation, security, and maintenance.
In 2026, recruitment is expected to remain active as airlines introduce additional routes and airport operators continue investing in infrastructure improvements. Opportunities are available for airport drivers, baggage handlers, cargo assistants, passenger service agents, ramp workers, warehouse staff, aircraft cleaners, and customer support personnel.
Depending on the role, qualifications, overtime, and employer, annual earnings can reach PLN 180,000, making airport employment an attractive option for candidates seeking stable income and long-term career growth. Many employers also provide structured onboarding, safety training, and opportunities for internal promotion.
Why Poland’s Aviation Industry Is Expanding
The aviation sector has become an important contributor to Poland’s economy. Growing tourism, international business travel, and increasing e-commerce shipments have significantly boosted airport activity over the past few years.
Warsaw Chopin Airport continues to record high passenger volumes, while regional airports in Kraków, Gdańsk, Katowice, Wrocław, Poznań, and Rzeszów are also expanding their airline networks. Every additional flight requires a coordinated team of operational professionals working behind the scenes.
Ground handling companies manage aircraft turnaround, baggage systems, passenger boarding, and cargo loading. Airlines recruit customer service staff, dispatch assistants, and transportation teams. Cargo operators require warehouse workers and logistics coordinators to support international freight movement.
As airport infrastructure projects continue through 2026, recruitment is expected across both permanent and contract positions.
