France’s aviation sector continues to expand as international tourism, business travel, and cargo operations return to record levels in 2026. Every day, millions of passengers pass through French airports carrying luggage, shopping bags, and travel equipment, creating constant demand for baggage trolleys throughout terminals and parking areas. To keep airport operations running efficiently, airports and ground service companies regularly recruit Airport Trolley Collection Staff.
Although this position may seem straightforward, it plays an important role in maintaining passenger convenience and ensuring airport facilities remain organized. Trolley collection employees are responsible for gathering luggage carts from different locations, inspecting them for damage, redistributing them across terminals, and keeping collection points fully stocked during busy travel periods.
In 2026, airports across France are expected to hire additional trolley collection personnel as passenger traffic continues to grow. Depending on the employer, shift schedule, experience, and airport location, monthly salaries generally range between €2,200 and €2,900.
For international applicants looking to begin a career in the European aviation industry, this position offers stable employment, practical work experience, and opportunities to progress into broader airport operations.
Why Airports Need Trolley Collection Teams
Modern airports operate around the clock, serving thousands of arriving and departing passengers every hour. Travelers depend on luggage trolleys to transport suitcases through terminals, parking garages, railway stations, and arrival halls.
Without regular collection and redistribution, trolley stations quickly become empty in high-traffic areas while unused carts accumulate elsewhere. Dedicated trolley collection teams solve this problem by continuously moving carts to locations where passengers need them most.
As France prepares for continued tourism growth in 2026, airports are expanding these operational support teams to improve passenger service and maintain smooth terminal operations.
